"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."
Acts 1:8

The power of the Holy Spirit is the power of God. When we call on the Holy Spirit, we call on God. The Holy Spirit is considered the Helper and the third person of the Trinity. We receive the power of the Holy Spirit upon our salvation in Christ. All of us. His power gives us the courage to fight battles we never thought we could face on our own, fighting our own giants. Perhaps, our own Goliaths. We fight them while speaking His truth. Yet, in the same spirit, we fight with His humility. His power also bestows upon us His nine gifts. They are a word of knowledge, discerning of spirits, faith, miracles, healing, tongues, interpretation, and prophecy. Lastly, the most powerful gift of all, the word of wisdom. The word of wisdom acts upon both the will and the intellect. It illumines the mind and instills the attraction to the divine. The power of the Holy Spirit makes our faith active. His power requires us to move when He moves. It also requires us to be still when we need to be still. His power also keeps us from temptation, convicts us, and delivers us from evil. His power empowers us to serve and empowers us to be a witness to Him and a witness to His faithfulness from our backyards to all the ends of this earth. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we find our purpose and live out our true calling. His power gives us joy in the mourning, strength through the waiting, and hope in glory. Without Him and without His power, we are dead. Dead in our transgressions, dead in spirit, dead in our calling, and dead in everything. His power resurrects us. His power empowers us to love others unconditionally with a supernatural agape type of love. His power frees the captives, frees hearts, heals the sick, the lame, the blind, and saves the lost. Our God is the only God who has a Holy Spirit and with power that we can tap into. Therefore, He and His power are everything we need. Take His hand. Go forth in Him and go forth in His power. He is beckoning us to.

Thank you, Hannah, for reminding me of the truth: we as believers have the Spirit of the living God available to us! What a mercy! Keep on encouraging us with your words of wisdom!
Love,
Kathaleen
